Gez Bowman
Gez Bowman is the inventor of The LA Brace™ and the owner of The LA Brace International, Inc and owner of The LA Brace Center. He is also owner of Valley Orthopedic Technology, an orthotics and prosthetics practice. Gez began his career in England where he had a background of math and computing prior to moving into the field of orthotics and prosthetics.
In 1992 he received his Boston Brace training which started his interest in scoliosis bracing. In 1994 after moving to the US he began making asymmetrical scoliosis braces hand crafted to casts of each patient. In 2000 he began developing the AGP data acquisition system that came to fruition in 2003 when he also trademarked the name The LA BraceTM. Gez specializes in scoliosis, kyphosis and pectus bracing and continues to refine and improve The L.A. BraceTM and develop new LA Brace systems for improved outcomes. In 2012 Gez wrote an article for ‘Physical Therapy Theory and Practice’ detailing The L.A. BraceTM. In 2018 he wrote a paper on outcomes with The LA Brace based upon surveys of ~400 patients showing how The LA Brace™ has higher success rates than other braces.
